about Allison

My style:

Please take the time to read if you are contacting me for session info!! thank you!

What I really want you to know . . . my philosophy on documenting your baby's milestones. I feel strongly about having images to document your life available so they can be enjoyed. It's so fleeting and precious. And, most of the time - you would forget some of these moments completely if they weren't concretely available to remind you! Of course I think you should take your own & throw them in a scrapbook - just get them off your memory cards! I do that too.Your family will cherish these one day because they will be able to recall memories that would have slipped away otherwise. What I want you to get out of a custom session is a little different. It's completely personalized for you and your family. I like to think of it as that special trip to Anthropologie or [insert favorite store here] once or twice a season. It's just worth it.

More about Feather Nest:

You'll see this phrase throughout this site & the blog . . . "adore them, sing their praises AND feather your nest!" I believe in enjoying your artwork. I don't feel like 4x6 prints are very enjoyable:o) sorry. They just don't do much for a piece of art. I am a fan of large prints, gallery wrapped canvas pieces and art books to display! So, that is what I specialize in creating for you & helping you print for your walls. Nothing makes a home warmer & more comfortable than artwork with the most gorgeous little creations of your life?! right?? So, yes, I believe in feathering your nest and making it comfy for your family. Whatever that may mean to you! I tend to be a DIY kind of girl. I will gladly help you make the most of your digital images once you have them in your hands. I have ideas for days! Just ask.

What makes me really happy is to know that I helped document a special time or bond artfully & it was used to make a house a home. I feel I did my job well when you walk up your stairs for the millionth time, and stop to admire a wall collage of your sassy little 3 year old as a tiny newborn baby or your favorite people making your favorite faces. Those first days home with a newborn can be such a blur. I want you to be able to look back & enjoy the sweet newness and beauty of it all. I want you to remember the way your daughter twirled your hair while she sat in your lap, and that loving sideways glance your husband passed your way when you weren't paying attention. You'd have never seen what that love looked like because you were in that moment. When you are in the box with those crazies doing the daily grind, you miss it those little treasures and then it's gone. But, if you document it, it's right there for you to enjoy always. Whether you do that professionally because you appreciate a certain level of quality or you simply do it for yourself. Please do just that!
