What I really want you to know . . . my philosophy. I feel strongly about having images to document your life available so they can be enjoyed. It's so fleeting and precious. Of course I think you should take your own & throw them in a scrapbook - just get them off your memory cards! I do that too.Your kids will cherish these one day because they will be able to recall memories that would have slipped away otherwise. What I want you to get out of a session is a little different. It's completely customized for you and your family. I like to think of it as that special trip to Anthropologie or [insert favorite store here] once or twice a season. It's just worth it.

Feather-Nest Photography was born as a result of the amazing clients that have chosen me over the past two years to capture their families. It has been such a joy to help each of them create warm and meaningful artwork for their homes. What makes me really happy is to know that I helped document a special time or bond beautifully & it was used to make a house a home. I feel I did my job well when you walk up your stairs for the millionth time, and stop to admire a wall collage of your favorite people making your favorite faces. You will remember the smell of the air that day, the way your daughter twirled your hair while she sat in your lap, and that loving sideways glance your husband passed your way when you weren't paying attention. You'd have never seen what that love looked like because you were in that moment. And, now it's right there for you to enjoy always.

I know how much joy those images can bring at the end of a hard day. So, I began putting emphasis on using your session images to create something artistic for your home. So, this is where we are now. It's the same business, just a more appropriate name and face to describe who we are! It is such a joy to hear back from clients about how proud they were at their Christmas party when all their friends ooohed & ahhhhed over their gallery wrapped canvas display down the hallway. Or, how everyone goes straight to their custom image box & flips through the boards when they come over. So, this is why every collection not only has a DVD of all your images, but also includes artwork for you home.
